Terms & Conditions

Musical Bumps Kings Hill & Malling and Musical Bumps North West Kent

Terms & Conditions of Booking and Attendance

Face-to-face Classes (at Venues)

Once your child is registered with Musical Bumps they have a permanent place until you tell us otherwise. You must give at least three weeks’ notice (verbal or written) if you wish to discontinue classes. Without notice, you are still liable for fees. This applies to termly, half-termly payments and flexi-block payments*.

Special offers for fees including "Early bird" and "Recommend a Friend": only one offer can be applied at a time.

Fees cannot be waived for occasional absences. In exceptional circumstances please speak to your teacher.

Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and priority booking goes to those currently enrolled. A waiting list is held once a class is full.

Resources are provided for use under supervision. Parents and carers are expected to supervise their own children and not allow instruments and puppets to be sucked, chewed or thrown. This is for the safety of children attending Musical Bumps classes.

*Flexi-block payments for five-week blocks are currently unavailable. When it is possible to offer these again, they will be available for babies attending 0-12 month classes. In exceptional circumstances, I may be able to offer this option to older children.

Parents and carers are responsible for supervising their child/ren and ensuring their behaviour does not affect the well-being or safety of other children.

Please do not take photos or videos during class that includes other children without prior permission from the child’s parent/carer.

Additional Covid Related Terms & Conditions

The following terms & conditions were updated on 13th July 2022.

I am looking forward to sharing an enjoyable and safe time together in class. Please note it is the parent/carer's responsibility to follow all Government guidelines in respect of Covid-19 and to be aware of updates and changes which may affect attendance at classes. Attendance at classes is at your own risk and your child must be under your close supervision at all times.

SYMPTOMS or ILLNESS: You MUST NOT ATTEND if you or your child are unwell, or if you have symptoms of coronavirus as described by the NHS. If you or anyone in your household test positive for coronavirus you will be required to share your recent contact information with NHS Trace and Test and inform us directly as soon as you are able. TRAVEL: if returning from travel abroad it is important to check whether you need to self-isolate. Do not attend classes if you are isolating.

Hygiene and infection control: You must wash your hands or use sanitiser immediately prior to the session, sanitiser is available or please use your own. Follow the Catch it, Bin it, Kill it guidance to catch coughs and sneezes in tissues or crook of the elbow. Tissues to be disposed of immediately, and hands washed. Keep your child’s nose cleaned and wiped regularly. Nappies to be changed outside the classroom and disposed of at home. Please do not bring toys from home.

Health: Vulnerable adults and children with pre-existing health conditions must follow medical advice as to whether to attend classes or not. Please inform us in advance of attendance if you, your child, or someone in your household is in the extremely high risk of infection category as I will make an additional risk assessment.

Face coverings: Mask wearing is now optional and we respect your decision to wear a mask upon entry/during class if you wish.

Social distancing: Not currently in place.

Siblings: You are welcome to enrol additional children in the class subject to availability and discounts apply. Any additional children attending classes on an ad hoc basis (such as inset days) will need to be added to the register and sibling fees will apply - this is to ensure that I have all their relevant details on the system (such as photo permissions and emergency contacts) and to be fair to all families as some bring more than one child on a weekly basis and pay accordingly.

Covid restrictions: If local or national restrictions are imposed then I will immediately transfer all live classes to Zoom and endeavour to offer these on the same day and at the same time.

Refreshments: I am unable to offer refreshments for now but parents/carers are welcome to provide water for their children to drink from their own cup during a class if necessary.

Snacks for children: These cannot be given in the classroom; if your child needs a snack please take them outside until they have finished.

Seating: Please bring a blanket or mat for babies who are not sitting securely.

Missed classes: Fees cannot be waived for occasional absences however I am pleased to be able to offer you the opportunity to catch up on any missed classes on another day across my timetable. Please contact me directly to arrange a convenient day/time/venue.

Cancelled classes: If there is enforced closure beyond my control (for any reason, including infectious disease) then no refunds will be issued. In this situation, I will do my best to provide Zoom classes.

Fees: Refunds will not be issued unless there are exceptional circumstances (a refund fee may be charged depending on payment method).

Data protection: In line with Government guidance I will pass data to NHS Trace and Test and/or the class venue if required.

These terms and conditions are subject to change.
